The prices below are intended as a budgeting guide for typical replacement installations, where similar existing equipment and supporting services can be reused.

Adding new heating or cooling, changing fuel or system type, or installing equipment as part of a renovation or new build can require additional design, ductwork, gas, electrical, venting or refrigeration work, so these projects are quoted individually.

We regularly handle retrofits, conversions and new installations, including adding central A/C to boiler-heated homes and replacing oil- or wood-fired heating systems.

Your specific home determines the right size equipment.

While square-footage ranges can provide an excellent starting point, it is not perfect. Your home's age, layout, construction materials, insulation and other factors can affect the BTU capacity required for a conditioned space. Before any quote is issued, our technicians will evaluate your home specifically, and ensure that you're only paying for what you need.

Standard-installation assumptions

Starting prices are based on a standard furnace replacement using existing, code-compliant ductwork, venting, drainage, thermostat/control wiring, gas service and electrical connections that are suitable for the new equipment.

Pricing may change where modifications, repairs, upgrades, permits, difficult access or additional materials/labour are required. All prices are plus HST.

Equipment shown is subject to availability. Final furnace size, model, installation requirements and price will be confirmed following an on-site assessment.

Central air conditioning

Starting prices for a standard central A/C replacement, with two equipment levels at each approximate capacity.

Replacement pricing

These packages assume the home has or previously had central A/C, the existing refrigerant line set can be cleaned and safely reused, and suitable electrical service is available for the outdoor unit. If a new line set and electrical work are required, allow approximately $500 plus HST in addition to the package price.

All A/C package prices are installed starting prices, plus HST.

Tonnage is only a starting point.

Square-footage ranges are general examples, not a cooling-load calculation. Home age, layout, construction materials, insulation and air-sealing quality, window area, sun exposure, ceiling height and other factors affect the capacity required. SEER2 means Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2 and compares seasonal cooling efficiency.

Standard A/C install assumptions

Starting prices are based on a standard A/C replacement using the existing, compatible furnace or air handler, ductwork, thermostat/control wiring, drainage, refrigerant line set and electrical service where they are suitable, code-compliant and reusable.

Where a new standard-length refrigerant line set and a typical electrical disconnect/run are both required, they add approximately $500 plus HST to the installation price. Longer runs, unusual routing or other electrical/refrigeration work may increase this amount.

Other required materials, repairs, upgrades, permits, difficult access or installation modifications may also affect the final price. All prices are plus HST. Equipment brand, model, efficiency and capacity are subject to availability. Final sizing, equipment selection, installation requirements and pricing will be confirmed following an on-site assessment.
